Chimombe to release Amapiano single


MASVINGO – A Masvingo artist, Leonard Chimombe (26) aka Lenny Twinstone is expected to release an Amapiano single titled Ngakulinda (I waited for u), the fourth song since his debut in 2017.

The song is due to be released in mid-September. It was produced at Tears Records by Gregorious April (DJ Greg) in Namibia.

It’s written in Zulu and English to feature the South African Amapiano style.

Lenny Twinstone confirmed the development to The Mirror. He said that the song emphasizes on the importance of communication in relationships.

“The song teaches about trust and communication in relationships; People are breaking each other’s hearts out there and its not safe,” said Twinstone.

Lenny Twinstone is a graduate from the University of Zululand with a Bachelor’s of Law (LLB) since 2019. Music is his extra-curricular while he waits to secure a job as a lawyer.

He is currently staying in Namibia on a job hunt.

He started doing music in 2017 while in university. He has done three singles so far that including his debut song Ndakamirira produced by Ndumiso Muthethwa (Dj Cylah) at Mishyfort records in Masvingo in 2017; then Ngithanda wena in 2017 produced by Mlondolozi Nkululeko (Dj Kingmaster Msomi) in South Africa, Durban KwaZulu Natal (KZN); and Luthando in 2020 produced at Tears records by Dj Greg in Namibia.

“The song teaches that if one is in a relationship, they should always communicate. Communication always prevails against empty promises,” said Chimombe.
