Chigumba satisfied with the nomination process

GWERU –  The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) Chairperson Justice Priscilla Chigumba was in Gweru yesterday where she observed the two nomination courts in process.

The nomination courts for Parliament and the local authority were held at the Gweru Magistrates Court from 10am and closed at 4pm.

 The nomination process was chaired by ZEC Midlands Provincial head Dorothy Mpofu. The Mirror crew attended the nomination court.

Justice Chigumba later addressed stakeholders and expressed satisfaction with the process which she described as calm and peaceful. 

“We started the nomination court process at 10 am and the process was very peaceful and calm. I want to thank the Midlands Province for this kind of political maturity where the whole process was held without breaking the electoral code of conduct.
