Chibuku Road to Fame roars to life

MASVINGO – This year’s edition of the Delta Beverages sponsored Chibuku Road to Fame, the country’s biggest talent search competition kicks off this weekend with the Harare Metropolitan Province competition set for Saturday at Tanza Bar and Nightclub, Chitungwiza.
A statement released by the drinks giants confirmed the launch to The Mirror. The competitions are running from this Saturday – November 9, 2024.
Chibuku Road to Fame is a Delta Beverages sponsored band competition that began in 2001. It is organized by the Zimbabwe National Arts Council (NAC).
This year’s edition is running under the theme: Bvirarira, Tshay’iNgoma.
“Chibuku Road to Fame, the country’s biggest talent search competition returns in 2024, ready to discover and celebrate the next wave of musical talent. This exciting platform is dedicated to recognizing and rewarding exceptional up-and-coming artists, providing a launchpad for diverse talent across the nation.
“With a rich history of success, the competition continues to empower aspiring musicians, creating countless success stories along the way. Through close collaboration with National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (NACZ), we are committed to nurturing fresh talent and supporting the arts,” reads part of the statement.
Provincial Final prizes are as follows: first prize US$2,500, second prize US$1,500 and third prize US$1,000.
The national Final prizes are as follows, first prize US$15,000 plus a recording contract, second prize US$10,000 and third prize US$7,500.
