Chibaya in high spirits after prison

MASVINGO – CCC interim national organizing secretary Amos Chibaya, who attended a funeral of a relative of one of the top party members in Masvingo yesterday says his recent arrest and detention by the Police for attending an alleged unsanctioned meeting has not broken his back.

He told The Mirror at the burial of George Murombo, a brother-in-law to CCC top member Oliver Chirume at Murombo Village, under Chief Makore in Gutu that the two weeks detention has left him stronger and in higher spirits.

“As you can see, I am on party programmes immediately on leaving prison. I was in Buhera a while ago where I attended a funeral of a member and now I am here in Gutu at another burial to console party members.

“The imprisonment has left me stronger and the regime must realise that it cannot arrest all Zimbabweans. This is a people’s project,” said Chibaya.

He urged CCC members to intensify the voter registration drive.
