Masvingo – Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe (CAAZ)’s Public Relations executive manager, Anna Julia Hungwe died in Harare yesterday after a short illness.
She was 60.
Hungwe complained of flue on Saturday evening and was taken to Baines 24 Hour Medical Center in Harare. Her BP was high and Covid19 tests were negative. She was held for observation before being discharged with some medication.
On Sunday morning she started to experience heavy breathing and was taken back to hospital where she passed on at 1030am while on the observation table.
The deceased’s brother, Anthony Makonese confirmed the death to The Mirror and expressed shock at its suddenness.

Hungwe joined CAAZ around 2000. In Harare mourners are gathered at 14 Zimre Way Mandara and she will be buried on Saturday at Mutede Village in Berejena under Chief Nemauzhe in Chivi.
“We have lost the pillar of strength as a family. The death came when we least expected it,” said Makonese.
Hungwe is survived with two children Vimbai and Masimba and three grandchildren.https://masvingomirror.com/
