Mberengwa – Mberengwa businessman Banabasi Marambire popularly known as Barmlow has launched a book on entrepreneurship inspired by his humble beginnings as an orphan.
The book which is titled The Herd Boy was launched at a Harare Hotel on August 7, 2020.

Prominent media personnel, Munyaradzi Hwengwere was the guest of honour and also present at the function were actress Jessesi Mungoshi, Feli Nandi, King Shaddy, Trevor Dongo Jason and Boi-Austin.

Marambire said he wrote the book to inspire aspiring young business people who have lost hope.
“The Herd Boy is an inspirational and emotional business book based on a true story of a little boy who lost his parents at a tender age. The boy grew up as a neglected orphan, emerging from very a poor background. He went through brutal pain, walked through the thorns of life to make his own history as an entrepreneur and founder of Barmlo Group of Companies.

“I gave my testimony to inspire someone who might think it’s the end. I grew up in a village called Matizenyika in Chivi,” said Marambire.

He said that he is inspired by business tycoon Strive Masiyiwa and Nigel Chanakira. He is married to Locadia Marambire and they are blessed with three boys.

Barmlo Group of companies includes; Barmlo Investments which specializes in building materials and brick moulding, Barmlo Construction whose focus is on the erection of buildings, plumbing, electrification, tiling, carpentry and painting while offering commercial transport, Maineck Holdings (PVT) Ltd which focuses on maize milling, food processing and supply of solar energy.

Marambire is a co-owner of Great Dyke AB Academy which is a private school. Barmlo Group of companies has various projects across the country of Zimbabwe and has expanded in leaps and bounds into Botswana and Zambia. It employs more than five hundred people across all its companies. These companies are found in Masvingo, Zvishavane and Mberengwa.
