Buhera’s headman Murambinda dies

BUHERA – Buhera’s headman Murambinda born Pedzisai Gondo has died at 98.
He died on Monday.

Buhera District Development Coordinator Freeman Mavhiza confirmed the death.

He said that Gondo who served for 21 years was buried at his homestead in Murambinda on Tuesday.

“It is with great sadness that I confirm the passing on of Headman Murambinda, one of the longest serving headmen in the district. He was installed on September 14, 1999. Buhera has lost a father,” said Mavhiza.
His son Jameson Gondo said his father battled with pneumonia for years.

He described his father as an intelligent person, kind and a hero not only to the family but to the whole district.
“He was intelligent, kind and a hero to the family and the district as a whole. Buhera people knew they had a father in him,” said Gondo.

Headman Murambinda is survived by two wives, 17 children and several grandchildren. https://masvingomirror.com
