“We are releasing our debut six track album titled Rudo Inzira anytime soon. We have been working on the project since March 2021 and it was mastered and produced at Diamond Studios in Harare.
“The band has 14 members who are all focused on giving our fans quality music and we have our own instrument set on which our members are constantly practicing on for perfection,” said Chinengozi.
Budiriro Masvingo Express members are Chinengozi, lyrical editor George Madzukuture, bass guitar player and instrument manager Tinashe Mademba, lead guitarist Moses Mademba, rhythm guitarist Tapiwa Mugeri, sub rhythm guitarist Darlington Nyoni, drummer Eugene Zimbiru, vocalist and dancer Luckson Meya, dancers Tracy Mademba, Precious Zimunya, Dennis Mamutse and Desire Revesai, security and auditor Ruvarashe Gurajena, band manager Ayanda Madzukuture, catering Brenda Khumalo and finance manager Trueman Gabaza.
Budiriro Masvingo Express was formed in 2006 but failed to record its music the first band members were working in different parts of the country. Chinengozi resurrected the outfit last with youthful members whom he is supporting financially whilst they focus on music.
“The band was formed in 2006 but we did not record any songs because the first band members were working in different parts of the country. I have always had a passion for music and acting since I was in primary school. I met our lyrical editor George and we recruited other band members last year and we now have an album to show for it.
“We are already working on our next project and the community is appreciating our music. Masvingo has potential for greatness and we want to give our fans something to vibe to during the lockdown,” added Chinengozi.
