Brothers kill brother-in-law over their sister

CHIPINGE – Two Chipinge brothers are on the run after beating their brother-in-law to death for allegedly bewitching and killing their sister.

Calisto (34) and Nhamo Magodha (39) assaulted Joshua Nyambi (75) of Gaziri Village, Chief Garahwa, Chipinge to death with sticks. They accused the deceased who had two wives of causing the death of their sister who was the first wife.

 Manicaland Acting Police Spokesperson Assistant Inspector Wiseman Chinyoka confirmed the incident to Chipinge Times and said a manhunt for the suspects has been launched.

The incident happened at around 7pm on Friday.

Sources said that Calisto and Nhamo confronted Nyambi at his homestead while he was in the company of his second wife Lilian Siwela (41). They accused him of bewitching their sister who died in January this year.

They started assaulting Nyambi with sticks and the deceased fled to a neighbour Mwadira Mudodo’s house but the aggressors followed him there and continued assaulting him.

They dragged him away and continued assaulting him and dumped him unconscious. A passerby Khumbula Chipadza saw Nyambi’s lifeless body and reported the matter to Chisumbanje Police.https://masvingomirror.com
