Bikita RDC $800 million budget approved

BIKITA – The Minister of Local Government and Public Works July Moyo has approved Bikita Rural District Council (RDC)’s $800 million budget for 2022, The Mirror has been told.
The budget increased from an annual budget of $400 million in 2021.
Bikita RDC Chief Executive Officer, Peter Chibhi told The Mirror that the local authority will get $400 million as devolution funds from Government.
Some key projects that the local authority is to undertake include the construction of five clinics namely Uteke, Nerumedzo, Dungu, Chivaka and Tafara clinic.
The council also seeks to construct two classrooms at Cheninga school.
There is also going to be the grading of 150km of the dust roads in the district, installing solar systems on six boreholes. The budget will also cover for eight bush pumps in the district’s three constituencies and to procure a refuse compactor.
“We are grateful for the approval of our budget and we look forward to providing quality service for the betterment of our district” said Chibhi.https://masvingomirror.com/
