The money is needed to buy drugs and sundries for the operation and other expenses including food.
He said the companys management was touched by Perseverance’s plight and as part of its Cooporate Social Responsibility of giving back to the community, and thought of extending their hand to the girl.
“We saw the story in The Mirror and thought of help the girl. It is not because we have a lot of money but it is part of our culture to give back to the community,” said Mwanza.
Matsilele said she is delighted and short of words by the overwhelming response from well-wishers who have intervened to save her child.
