Beitbridge to hold district culture festival

BEITBRIDGE-A district culture celebration will be held at Mpande Cultural Village at Chief Sitaudze’s homestead in Beitbridge on June 28, 2023.
The celebration is under the theme; Promoting cultural diversity, unity and peace among the people in Beitbridge.
Event committee member and Ministry of Youth, Sports, Arts and Recreation officer Cossam Zulu confirmed the development to Two Nations.
The planning committee held preparatory meetings at the District Development Coordinator (DDC) offices.
Zulu said they are appealing to the business community and well-wishers to chip in with donations.
“We are sending letters appealing for donations to different organisations and individuals. Bubye Valley Conservancy has also promised to donate 100 kgs of game meat, and World Vision has donated 500 polystyrene containers (kaylites),” said Zulu.
Another committee member and Beitbridge District Information Officer in the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Talent Munda said they sourced a Public Address system.
The celebrations will include counselling sessions for youth on parenthood, cooking traditional foods and other activities.
