Beitbridge Chamber of SMES chair dies

BEITBRIDGE – The chairperson of the Beitbridge Chamber of Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Clevers Moyo (46) is no more.
Moyo who was pivotal in co-ordinating business people in the border town passed away on Friday after a short illness.
Apart from being the chairperson of the SMEs, Moyo was also into stationery business. He would be remembered for his instrumental work in promoting business in the district.
He was buried at village 19 in Zezani under Chief Tshitaudze in Beitbridge West.
He was also a member of various associations in the town whose focus has been mainly promoting development and entrepreneurship.
Moyo was also working with Beitbridge Business Against Crime Forum which liaised with the local Police in fighting crime. Police Officer Commanding Beitbridge District, Chief Superintendent Tichaona Nyongo described Moyo’s death as a great loss.
“As a Police station we lost a man who was a pillar that linked Police and the business community in the fight against crime. He was dedicated to his work and his death is therefore a big loss to Beitbridge,” said Nyongo.
“I’m still in shock, Moyo was a good person. He recently bought balls for the local premier netball team. I am speechless,” said businessman Jabulani Ndou.
