Batanai High long serving teacher is no more

KWEKWE— A dark cloud has engulfed Batanai High School following the death of one of the school’s long serving teachers, Archbroad Kuziva Chari (59).
Chari succumbed to an asthmatic attack on his way to Kwekwe General Hospital on February 10 at around 7 pm.
Batanai High head, Henry Dube confirmed the death to The Mirror, and said that the late was a Geography and History teacher at the school from 1993. He described the deceased as a hardworking professional who left a gap that would be difficult to fill.
The news shattered the school and community as Chari performed his duties as usual the previous day without showing any signs of illness.
He was buried at Redcliff Cemetery on Sunday.
“We have lost one of our long serving teachers. This is a great loss to both the community and the school. He was one of our hardworking teachers who will be remembered for raising the school’s flag high with his brilliant external examination results, particularly ‘O’ Level. One year he produced 43 As in History,” said Dube
Chari is survived by his wife, five children that is two boys, three girls and three grandchildren.
