Bata employee wins ZPCS Golf tourney

MIDLANDS- Simbarashe Gengezha, a Bata Shoe Company employee is the winner of the 2022 Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services (ZPCS) Commissioner General’s Goodwill Trust Fund golf fundraising tournament.
The tournament was held at Gweru Golf Club (GGC) in Gweru on Saturday.


Gengezha who got 42 points walked away with a pair of shoes from Bata and meat vouchers from Midlands butchery
Gweru Golf Club vice-captain Jabulani Chirasha came second with 41 points and won a knapsack from VG Chemicals and a meat voucher from Midlands Butcheries. Mhando Projects Managing Director and GGC treasurer Martin Mudyiwa came third with 41 points and walked away with a dinner set and a pair of shoes.


Central Real Estate auctioneer Killian Musiyiwa came fourth with 41 points and won a pair of shoes and a two slice toaster. GGC manager and Glow petroleum Brand ambassador Liberty Gumisa came fifth with 40 points. He walked away with a double cereal dispenser and a pair of shoes.
Gumisa said ten clubs from across the country participated at the tourney which was a success.
“The tournament was a success and 10 clubs from across the country participated. Some of the clubs came from Bulawayo, Kwekwe, Bindura, Victoria Falls and Masvingo. Over 77 players participated and we are overwhelmed with the responses we got.


“ZPCS has done a good initiative through this tourney which started under the late Commissioner Paradzai Zimondi and those who followed after have him have maintained it,” said Gumisa.
The tournament was sponsored by Bata Shoe Company, Trevor Dollar Real Estate, Dendairy, Midlands Butcheries,VG Chemicals and all participants were dressed by AAG Zimbabwe.https://masvingomirror.com
