Auckland Academy holds prize giving ceremony

BEITBRIDGE– Auckland Academy, a private school in Beitbridge has honoured its successful students through a prize giving day and a graduation ceremony for Early Childhood Development (ECD) pupils.

The ceremony was held recently at Shamba Gardens and 18 ECD B pupils graduated whilst pupils who attained position 1-5 from Grade 1-4 walked away with certificates.

Business strategist Shingi Francis Nhunzvi was the guest of honour.

Auckland Academy is run by Costa and Dorothy Vutete who are the directors. The academy opened its doors to learners in 2020 and currently has an enrolment of 60 pupils.

The academy currently has ECD – Grade 4 pupils with a teacher pupil ratio of 1:15.

Some of the outstanding pupils are Delony Musabe (ECD B), Siyabonga Sibanda (Grade 1), Shayne Kazembe (Grade 2), Kayla Nyoni (Grade 3) and Luckson Matavire (Grade 4).

The academy also offers computer lessons, aerobics, and gymnastic classes.

Costa and Dorothy Vutete told Two Nations that they are impressed with the students’ performances and expressed their desire to develop the academy into a private boarding school.

The academy’s motto is Excellence through learning, “Raising Christian Knowledgeable leaders of tomorrow”.
