Ellen Mlambo is with immediate effect acting editor of The Mirror until the Editor, Garikai Mafirakureva returns from leave mid-April. Mlambo is the current substantive Deputy Editor.
The Mirror is also pleased to announce the appointment of a bureau representative in Kwekwe. This is the first time that The Mirror is represented in the second largest Midlands town.
The Kwekwe bureau representative is Prisca Manyiwa- Masuku. She will cover five local authorities namely Kwekwe, Redcliff, Zibagwe, Gokwe Urban and Gokwe North.
Mirror consultant Matthew Takaona said the latest appointment seals the newspaper’s complete coverage of the country’s largest province.
Masuka who is an award-winning journalist is a holder of a Bsc Media Studies from the Zimbabwe Open University and a Diploma in Journalism from the Christian College of Southern Africa.
She has substantial experience from several other newspapers that she worked for.
