Gweru – PRESIDENT Mnangagwa on Friday capped 3 507 graduates at the Midlands State University (MSU) 21st Graduation Ceremony.
Only 110 physically attended the ceremony and 3 397 had their degrees conferred virtually due to the Corona pandemic.
MSU Vice Chancellor Victor Muzvidziwa said 2 670 graduated with Bachelors’ degrees, 837 with Masters’ degrees and 11 with Doctor of Philosophy degrees.
Some 51.8% of the graduates are female and 48.2% males.
After graduation, Mnangagwa commissioned a textile factory at MSU Industrial Park Complex in the heavy industrial area.
The factory is manufacturing personal protective equipment and face masks for health workers.
Mnangagwa also commissioned a lecture complex at the Commercial block at TelOne named after the late Midlands Governor, Cephas Msipa. https://masvingomirror.com
