Gweru – Zvishavane District Hospital has recorded 27 Covid-19 cases in less than a week following 25 nurses tested positive yesterday following routine tests on all staff members after two nurses tested positive last week, Minister for State for Midlands, Larry Mavima confirmed the matter.
“On July 13 2020, Zvishavane District Hospital received 8 positive results of which 2 were for health care workers. These results prompted the testing of other healthcare workers and other probable contacts within the hospital on the same day.
28 health care workers were tested and 25 tested positive. 3 Registry staff also tested positive,” said Mavima.
He also said that investigations are underway to establish the source and pattern of transmission of the virus. https://masvingomirror.com.
