2023 NASSAF underway in Gweru

GWERU- The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education’s National Annual Science, Sports and Arts Festival (NASSAF) kicked off yesterday in Gweru and runs until Friday.
Provincial teams compete in science exhibitions, textile technology, food technology, Maths Olympiads, Science Olympiads, visual arts, agriculture, public speaking, quizzes, contemporary dance, electric dance, marimba, modelling and spelling competitions.
Ministry spokesperson Taungana Ndoro confirmed the development to The Mirror.
He said the newly appointed Minister, Torerai Moyo and his deputy Angeline Gata graced the competition yesterday and will present awards to winners tomorrow.
NASSAF is part of the Ministry’s curriculum which aims to produce all-round students through encouragement of non-academic skills.
The competition begins at the district level.
