1500 people attend Harare show first day

HARARE – The Zimbabwe Agricultural Show started yesterday with the Zimbabwe Agricultural Society registering 1 500 people and 477 exhibitors.
According to the Zimbabwe Agricultural Society statement which was released earlier on before the show started, there were 410 exhibitors registered.
The show is currently underway at the Exhibition Park and will end on Saturday.
The Zimbabwe Agricultural Society spokesperson Tawonga Miriyoni said a total of 1172 adults and 338 children were in attendance yesterday when the show kicked -off.
“ The show started well since we did not record any crimes on Monday and today. We had a total of 1500 people yesterday and 477 exhibitors,” he said.
The atmosphere was good with the Zimbabwe National Army entertaining people with Helicopter displays and Paratroopers.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police also provided entertainment as they did gymnastics, police dog and horse displays.
Tomorrow’s major highlights include the Annual National Agribusiness Conference (ANAC) under the theme ‘Fostering Economic Growth Through Agricultural Value Chains at 8am.
